Top=9 inches when stretched

Hey All,

So I wanted to let you know that my Phyto Hair and Nails product is here!!! Everyone has been calling them "magic pills" And I am very excited about it. I know that it takes a lot more than just pills to make natural hair grow and be beautiful but an added boost...why not??!! I wanted to go ahead and post some pictures of my hair now (no nail pics, because my focus is on my hair) and that way you can document my progress. I must state that I go them on Monday, and start taking them so my hair has not grown much—so this should be pretty accurate.

Reminder I have been natural 2 years in May, so the supplements, pills (whatever the correct terminology) will end exactly at my two year mark. If by that time my hair grows, I will continue this product. I also think it is important to mention that I am taking an iron pill and a generic multivitamin (every other day) iron too. This could impact the results, but I am not thinking by too much.

Okay so here are the pictures (above)!! Also I want to post pictures back from the past, but don’t know how essential that is in less I am doing a progression video (which I will be soon).

Also, I had no ruler, so I took a piece of paper. Marked where it ended and then looked a ruler up online (it was the actual size....weird I know. So these estimations are just that---guestimates!! :( But it will be okay.

My hair are in twist outs, I have been wearing them as my protective hairstyles. I will explain this process in my next blog talk.

Enjoy!!

What I am working on now....

Phytophanere Dietary Supplement - Hair and Nails

Hello All,

I am back with a post!! Its going to be a very quick one that details what I am up to at this point. First off I have been on this health, reinvention streak at the moment. I am working on as odd as it sounds Dental hygiene—just flossing and all the things dentist recommend. I will not be talking about that issue as much, but it is a goal that I have been working on.

Secondly, I am thinking about researching the raw food diet, just as a cleansing agent. I do not know much about that either at the moment, just a thought I am working with.

However, as you all know the item I am most passionate about again is my hair, and all natural hair and what we can do with our natural born curls, kinks...what have you. I have been natural for approximately 19 months so a little over a year and a half and I still continue to learn things, try things out on my hair etc. I will be more dedicated about posting this information for you all to see.

The most recent thing I will be trying is the Phytophanere Dietary Supplement - Hair and Nails.

I have yet to get them but they are on their way in the mail, a gift for my sister—she suggested I try them. She is in the military, was deployed and used them. Her hair was braided and she said that after she was done with one bottle her hair had noticeably grown, and her nails were amazing. She said that sephora.com is a great place for items, so you can read the reviews that people who have already taken have posted and their experience with the product.

I however will be posting my hair growth, and nail growth for that matter once I start taking them and let you all know what my results go. I am very excited to see if it helps me meet my goals. Reminder I want to have 6 inches of hair growth by my two year hair anniversary--That is May 12th 2010. I plan to document with pre-pictures, and anything else as it relates to the product.

So in all, I am working on:
1. Taking care of myself, holistically.
2. Focusing on my hair and trying out new products.
3. Growing my hair out, 6 inches.
4. Coming soon—adding on a weight challenge, and information about raw food. This for sure will be a transition

Thanks for listening to my random ramblings before shut eye... and I will update you all when my new supplements come in.

Take Care.

Been gone too long

Hello all, I realize I have no posted anything in over 8 months! In all honesty life got away from me. However, recently I have begun to really enjoy my hair again and have decided to start focusing on my blogging and hair care regime more solidly. It will be a good “distraction” from grad school work. Plus, in the next year I want to gain six full inches of hair! I will get some pictures on here soon for an update. Also, I will be reviewing some new products very soon. Thanks for all my followers, you loyal three and maybe if I put energy and time in to this blog more people will join.

More soon to come!

First Product Overview: Shea Butter

The Benefits of Shea Butter:

First check out the following Link for all the information you need to know about Shea Butter. http://www.treasuredlocks.com I found this site to be supper informative.

As you can see from the first picture below I purchased a 5 pound container of Shea Butter! That tub (no kidding) should last me around 5 years. Shea butter last forever, and is so great for your hair. Below are the top ten reasons I love Shea Butter and will continue to use it forever on my hair.

1. It’s all natural: It is extracted from the nuts of the Shea-Karite tree, and has lots of fatty acids.
2. It’s multifaceted: You can use it on your hair, and it’s good for your skin. A 2-1 product that’s good for you.
3. Leaves my hair moisturized all day: with natural hair you may have noticed that it’s hard to keep your hair moisturized. When you put the right amount of this product on your hair, its problem free—and touchable. However, don’t touch too much it will dry it out hahaha.
4. It brings out the curls and kinks—I think this has a lot to do with the fact that when your hair is moisturized correctly it will be radiant and perfect. It puts out all the stops when you take care of it!!
5. It’s cheap—you can by five pounds for 35 some odd dollars—think how much you spend on other products, or relaxers.
6. It’s easy to use: You just put it between both of your hands and rub until it’s clear. Put It on your hair and your hair will thank you.
7. It makes it so my hair does not shrink as much, once again the moisture.
8. You can mix your own smell to it, if you have natural oils, Shea butter usually does not have a real harsh smell so you can add items to it.
9. It’s recommended by lots of natural women for a reason—meaning many women use it because it works. It was used by many African women for years.
10. It makes me feel beautiful, when my hair feels good—I do to!!

Side Note: I buy my Shea Butter from: www.sheabutterhut.com

Check out the site and let me know what you think, I found it to be very helpful. I will be posting information next about coconut oil, and my Carols daughter products.

Product Haul

Hey Everyone,

Newest update, I just did a product Haul. I figured I would buy all my favorite products while I had the chance to do so (and the money). I have decided to go completely natural on my hair care products (meaning I will only use products that have natural products in them. So that means all the items I have (that are not natural and healthy for my hair) I am giving away to my friends.

Considering I am a product junkie it’s a lot of money down the drain….however I feel it’s the best choice for my hair. Below is a picture of all the products I use, and a few of my favorite earrings. You might ask what the importance of the earrings are and its because when my hair was really short I went thru this phase of why try and be
“beautiful” when you feel like a man. Ever since I cut my hair I have always worn it out, natural. Now since it is growing out I feel girly again and the earrings help me feel great!! Weird right??? I will be doing a product review on all these items within the next posts!!! Stay tuned.
